Easter Sunday, Albuquerque, c. 1960's

He is not here; He is risen.
Luke 24:6

Easter Sunday really was the "Sunday of Sundays" for my Catholic family in the early 1960's. Typically, my brother and I would be serving as altar boys at one of the Masses--we just hoped our names didn't come up for the sunrise Mass or any Mass with the mercurial Father MacDonald.

After Mass, the family went to an Easter Sunday buffet, followed by an Easter egg hunt for the younger kids.

These are times I recall fondly and I'll write some more about them in the future.
